Our Process

Introduction

Here at Backyard Getaways, we are dedicated to developing a personal relationship with our clients to help create an understanding of their preferences and dream “Backyard Getaway”. We always start with an introduction meeting to understand family needs, special considerations and vision to ensure a seamless and enjoyable construction experience.

Measure Up and Design

The next step in our process is a measure up of the site to understand the true capabilities of a backyard to maximize its potential and optimize its space. Our team uses drone technology, zip-levels and a GPS based positioning tool to measure elevations. Design Options are discussed and a 2D Cad drawing will be professionally created by our in-house engineering design team to thoroughly capture the backyards layouts. Revisions are made through numerous meetings until a client’s true Backyard Getaway has been captured.

Quote Presentation and 3D Rendering

Once the initial design has been finalized, a personalized quote by our owner, John Petrocelli, will be created to match the budget of the homeowner. Optimized construction methods, effective purchasing decisions and dedicated project management are utilized to maximize the value of each dollar the homeowner spent. We focus on providing the best value to all of our customers. To ensure the customer’s vision has truly been captured, we provide quality 3D renders of the property, including all landscaping features and cabanas to allow our client to visualize their project in 3D space and to ensure our team understands the project to every minute detail.

Permits

Our team of certified engineers work diligently with city officers to ensure a smooth and timely permit approval process. We are proud to announce that there has never been a permit our company couldn’t obtain due to our immense understanding of the Ontario building code, the ability to navigate city customs, long working relationship with city officers,  and our dedication to ensuring our clients can achieve their dream Backyard Getaway.
